Diamonds made better
Sustainable diamonds cultivated above the earth through the process of CVD or “Chemical Vapour Deposition”, our ‘better diamonds’ continue to give you an unmatched taste of luxe living.
With state-of-art technology and innovation, we at Greenlab Diamonds LLP create CVD diamonds that are better for the environment.
Our CVD diamonds represent luxury just as much as mined diamonds as they are birthed from the same growth process and chemical composition Better diamonds are of higher quality, crafted with utmost finesse and sustainable unlike their traditional counterparts.
Truly Better and #PureDiamonds in every essence
Journey into Type IIA Diamonds
Introducing our exquisite Type IIA diamonds – a rare and exclusive subgroup constituting less than 2% of global resources. With extremely low nitrogen contents, highly resorbed crystals, and low δ13C, our diamonds boast unparalleled brilliance and a captivating play of light.
Their extraordinary transparency reveals a breathtaking spectrum of colours, from pristine clarity to vibrant hues, making them the epitome of sophistication and exclusivity. Elevate your style with our prestigious Type IIA diamonds, where rarity meets radiance, adding substantial value to your cherished jewellery pieces.
The Finesse of Our Futuristic Process
Sowing the seed of sustainability
A diamond seed is sown and placed in a plasma reactor.
Growing better diamonds
Replicating the environment of Earth’s crust and mantle, the plasma reactor creates favourable conditions for the seeds to cultivate.
Harvesting done by new-age farmers
Our new-age farmers wait for a few weeks of exposure and observation to harvest the rough diamonds that are then taken for a tech-first finishing process.

Myths & facts
Lab-grown
diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds aren’t the same as naturally mined specimens.
Fact
There is no difference between earth-mined and lab-grown diamonds. When you freeze water, it becomes ice but the chemical composition remains unchanged. Similarly, whether the diamond forms deep under the surface of the earth owing to intense heat and pressure or if it is grown in a lab that mimics the same conditions, the quality and authenticity remain the same.
Real
diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds are not as pure as naturally mined diamonds.
Fact
Creating favourable conditions for the carbon seeds to grow into diamonds in a lab required top-of-the-line technology and experts. Also, the cost of cutting and polishing a rough diamond costs the same as diamonds mined from underground owing to the hard property of diamonds. Investing in MPCVD reactors requires a substantial financial commitment, as each unit costs over half a million dollars along with ongoing research & development costs.
Conflict-free
There is no way to tell if a lab-grown specimen is conflict-free.
Fact
Lab-grown diamonds are conflict-free regardless of the region of origin, growth or manufacture. They are sourced from first world countries where they are treated and cut in a controlled modern-day lab environment while natural diamonds have to be vetted to ensure they are conflict-free.
Pro-planet
Lab-grown diamonds cause harm to the environment.
Fact
Although the eco-friendly aspect of lab-grown diamonds is debatable, they are relatively better than their counterparts. Mined diamonds are extracted by digging the earth’s surface which leads to degradation of the environment such as soil erosion and displacement of biodiversity. However, lab-grown diamonds barely affect the environment.
Test of time
The appearance of lab-grown diamonds deteriorates with time.
Fact
A lab diamond has the same physical, chemical and optical properties as that of an earth-mined diamond. It stands the test of time as its colour and appearance remain unchanged. This demonstrates lab diamonds can be just as durable as mined diamonds and it will be damaged in the same way as an organic diamond.
Valuable
Lab-grown diamonds have no resale value as they are man-made.
Fact
Lab-grown diamonds are relatively new in the marketplace and must make their place in the resale chain. However, they do have a high resale value owing to the state-of-the-art machinery and extensive processes that give birth to these cultivated diamonds.
Just as
valuable
Lab-grown diamonds will lose its value.
Fact
Unlike mined diamond, which is exchanged many hands before it is set on Jewellery. Lab-grown diamonds have a short and more transparent supply chain. All our Diamonds are guaranteed to be replaced or changed.
Availability
Natural or earth-mined diamonds are extremely rare.
Fact
There is no dearth of diamonds in any part of the world but there are warehouses that are full of them, waiting to be sold. The perceived rarity is due to a conscious decision to restrict the market supply and play on diamonds’ scarcity, which has been a rule in the playbook of trade for several hundred years.
